Little Miracles – 16 Months by September 1st

Mondays 9:00 – 11:00 AM

This unique class, structured for parents to attend along with their child, is a great introduction to preschool as well as an avenue to make connections with other FPP families. For the children, art, music, story time and free play all work together to build social development and group cooperation. For the adult, discussing relevant topics, learning about the developmental stages of their child, guest speakers, and community support, enhance the parenting experience as a whole.

Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) – 4 years old by September 1st

Mon-Thurs 8:40 to 11:30 AM or Mon-Thurs 12:20 to 3:10 PM

Pre-K is intended to prepare students for Kindergarten. This class gives your child the opportunity to develop reading and writing skills in our language arts program. Other facets of the program include hands-on math, science, art, music, and some exposure to foreign language. Bible memory and character building skills are emphasized weekly.

If your child will be 5 years old by September 1st, they may move on to Kindergarten as determined by a readiness review, or you can select our Jr. K program if you desire an additional year of preparation for Kindergarten.

Jr. Kindergarten (Jr. K) – 4 ¾ by September 1st

Mon – Thurs 8:40 to 11:30 AM or Mon – Thurs 12:20 to 3:10 PM

Jr. K serves two specific purposes. For children who are approaching 5 years of age when leaving preschool, it serves as their Kindergarten prep class. For children who have completed Pre-K, it offers an extra year of social and academic growth before starting Kindergarten. Like Pre-K, this class develops reading and writing skills in our language arts program, as well as hands-on math, science, art, music and some exposure to foreign language. Bible memory and character building skills are emphasized weekly.

ENRICHMENT CLASSES

Social Studies Enrichment* (All Day Pre-K/Jr. K)

Mon-Thurs 11:30 am to 3:10 pm / Friday 8:40 am to 3:10 pm

This class is available only to our Pre-K/Jr. K students.

This enrichment experience has a two-fold benefit: In addition to creating a full day, five day Pre-K or Jr. K class, the students are exposed to an array of countries and are introduced to each culture by learning about the art, music, geography, customs and language indigenous to those areas. The objective of Social Studies Enrichment is to instill a greater awareness of God’s creation, an understanding of different cultures and an appreciation for the fine arts.

On Monday through Thursday mornings students attend their core Pre-K or Jr. K class, transferring to the enrichment class in the afternoon. On Fridays, they experience a full day of Social Studies Enrichment.

Art Enrichment

Fridays 8:40 to 11:30 AM

This may be added to a Preschool (3 year olds), Pre-K or Jr. K class

Through the study of different artists and art genres, the students will learn about revered artists, art composition and technique, and art history. By studying the master artists, they will see how lines, shapes, color and texture can inspire their own masterpieces. This opportunity for specialized art enrichment will instill a greater awareness of God’s creation and set the foundation for lifelong art appreciation.

Music Enrichment*

Tues/Thurs 11:30 AM to 3:10 PM

This may be added to a Preschool (3 year olds), Pre-K or Jr. K class

Music is an important part of a classical education. Through the study of different music genres, the students will learn about instruments, music styles, composers, and music theory including rhythm and beat. This opportunity for specialized music enrichment allows them to celebrate God’s gift of music and will set the foundation for lifelong music enjoyment and appreciation.

Science Enrichment*

Mon/Wed/Fri 11:30 AM to 3:10 PM

This may be added to a Preschool (3 year olds), Pre-K or Jr. K class

We are excited to offer this class for the young explorer. This science enrichment class is designed to offer our students the opportunity to learn about the fascinating world God created through a fun, age     appropriate program. Each student will participate in hands-on science experiences and develop skills in thinking, reasoning and observation. The goal is to encourage a better understanding of the world around them by incorporating various fields of science such as earth science, biology and chemistry.

*Students enrolled in these classes bring a sack lunch and enjoy recess and a short rest time prior to the start of their afternoon class.
