For more than 45 years, FPCS has been providing an excellent educational experience for families in the South Sound; first as a preschool and then expanding in 2001 to include kindergarten through 5th grade. Approaching every activity and subject through the lens of God’s love, we seek to not only impart knowledge, but to also provide a strong spiritual foundation.
We believe that a well-educated mind and a strong character infused with a deep faith in Christ are essential to equip each student for affecting transformative change in their community and beyond. Our challenging academic environment is designed to educate the whole child, cultivating wisdom and virtue by emphasizing truth, beauty, and goodness in the teaching process.
Staffed by experienced teachers, our preschool offers a carefully supervised and balanced program. We recognize that children at this stage learn primarily through play. As each student progresses through our program, the focus of their time with us gradually shifts to an emphasis on academic skills to prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.
For our elementary students, we offer a challenging program centered on strong language, reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, encouraging each student to join in the “great conversation” of the ages. Chapel is held each week, affording students the opportunity to learn more about the character of God through the story of God. With small class sizes, our exemplary teaching staff lead students through our core curriculum. Specialist classes in Latin, music, art, and physical education are also an integral part of our program.
