The Mission and Purpose of Parents That Care (PtC):
To establish caring relationships in a family environment that bonds parents together to joyfully serve each other and the church school in their mission to provide an excellent Christ-centered education for our children.
God’s Word, the Bible, establishes the family unit as the most important human institution He designed, since He compares it to the relationship believers have with Christ and the Father. As a support and extension of the family unit, FPCS is continually seeking ways to actively involve the parents, siblings, and grandparents of our students in the programs of the school, but we can never provide what children need most support from a loving and nurturing home.
Meetings
The PtC meets the first Friday of the month. All are welcome to attend and each meeting is held in Yoder Hall (first floor outside the gym under the school office) at 9:15 a.m.
Parent Nights and School Family Events
We will be planning many exciting parent meetings throughout the year. These are indicated on your school calendar. The Fall Harvest Festival, RAM Takeover Night, and other monthly get-togethers and events provide the special time we need as a school family. Parents are encouraged to attend all meetings and events.
All FPCS Parents are “Parents that Care”
We appreciate the generous gifts of time, talent and finances our wonderful parents have provided through the years. We know that parents enrolling their children are parents who love and care for their children. Thus, Parents that Care (PtC) is the name of the program assisting all parents, preschool and elementary school, in finding their place of service in the school.
Room Parents
Room Parents are needed for each classroom to help coordinate PtC events and classroom activities. Please see your child’s teacher or contact the PtC Room parent coordinator right away if you are interested in serving in this way. Usually, room parents are selected in the Fall, and there may be occasional special meetings during the year that room parents need to attend.
